Craig Buick is the Chief Executive Officer of Cabot Credit Management since January 2020. In this role, Mr. Buick oversees all of Encore’s European businesses. He joined Cabot Credit Management in January 2016 as Chief Financial Officer, and has a deep understanding of its operations, products and the complex European markets.
Previously, Mr. Buick spent thirteen years at GE Capital in a number of senior finance and audit roles, including Financial Controller for GE Capital Bank (UK), Chief Financial Officer for GE Money (Italy) and Managing Director – Internal Audit for Europe and Asia. Mr. Buick began his career with twelve years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working in various offices across Australia, United Kingdom, Russia and Indonesia.
Mr. Buick is a Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants – Australia and New Zealand) and holds a Bachelor of Economics (Commerce) from Adelaide University, Australia.
Mr. Masih was appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Cabot Credit Management in 2017. He has been the President and CEO of Encore Capital Group since June 2017.
Previously, as President of Midland, Mr. Masih managed internal call centres, decision science, legal collections, marketing, and all other domestic operations. He also oversaw Encore’s Asset Reconstruction Company, which is buying debt portfolios in India. Prior to this at Encore, he served in three roles: Executive Vice President, U. S. Debt Purchasing Operations, Senior Vice President of legal collections operations, and Senior Vice President of corporate development. Before Encore, Mr. Masih was Vice President at Capital One Financial Corp, holding senior roles in collections and recoveries among other roles. Prior to joining Capital One, Mr. Masih was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company and a Manager at KPMG Consulting.
Mr. Masih earned an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Lehigh University and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India.
Christian Burgess is the Chief Financial Officer of Cabot Credit Management since January 2020. In this role, Mr. Burgess oversees all of Encore’s European businesses. He joined Cabot Credit Management in April 2019 as Finance Director for all the Non-UK Cabot businesses. Previously, Mr. Burgess was the Chief Financial Officer of Grove Capital Management and prior to that spent fourteen years at Deutsche Bank where he was a Managing Director in a number of senior finance and business management roles within the Markets and Investment Banking divisions. Mr. Burgess began his career with the Commonwealth Bank where he worked in Sydney in various finance roles within the Insurance & Retail Banking businesses.
Mr. Burgess is a Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants – Australia and New Zealand) and holds a Bachelor of Financial Administration (Economics) from the University of New England, Australia.
Jonathan C. Clark
Jonathan C. Clark is Encore's Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, serving in this capacity since February 2015. In this role, Mr. Clark is responsible for managing relationships with the investment community, leading capital raising efforts, and for financial reporting, treasury, tax, financial planning and analysis, corporate development and strategy functions. He joined the company as CFO for Encore's subsidiary Midland Credit Management in October 2014.
Before joining Encore, Clark was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SLM Corp., also known as Sallie Mae. During his time at Sallie Mae from 2008 until 2013, Clark increased investor value, reestablished the organization as a major player in the securitization market, and guided the company during the global financial crisis. Prior to joining Sallie Mae, Clark served as a Managing Director at Credit Suisse Securities from 2000 to 2007, after having served in various executive roles at Prudential Securities, The First Boston Corp., and a variety of other companies during his career. Clark earned an economics degree from the University of Virginia, and a master's degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School.
Brendan is a Chartered Accountant and is a director of the ring fenced bank of Lloyd’s Banking Group Plc. After almost 30 years in GE Capital, Brendan retired in April 2018. His last position was CFO of GE Capital International, prior to that Brendan held numerous roles and gained extensive experience in leading global projects within GE Capital, including acquisitions, dispositions, operational reviews and reserve standardisation projects.
Brendan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and holds an MBS in Corporate Leadership from Dublin City University.
