Cabot Financial and MCS recognised at Credit Awards

In June 2023, Cabot had the pleasure of attending the Credit Strategy Credit Awards where two of our brands were recognised for the great work they’ve done in the past year.

We were extremely proud of our teams as Cabot companies won two awards on the night and were a finalist for a third award.

Cabot Financial won the Outstanding Conduct in Collections Award. Our nomination focused on the way we coach our colleagues to ensure the best customer support, our Financial Abuse prevention process and our work behind the scenes with Money Advice plus. We are the first Debt Purchaser to do this and very proud of something which is part of making our mission ‘Creating pathways to economic freedom’ real.

It also celebrated the way we maintain a good balance between recovering what people owe and sustainability, by using the ways we assess affordability, our Speech Analytics technology and our Sensitive Support Strategies. The overall picture is we are demonstrating good colleague support (in various ways), with great customer feedback which is a testament to our attitude, values and the hard work of all of the people supporting our consumers every day. We are grateful to them all and delighted to see them recognised.

Mortimer Clarke Solicitors also won the Law Firm of the Year Award. “A trusted partner that is highly respected in what can be a difficult field”. Our colleague Hannah Clark couldn’t have said it better, so we’ll use Hannah’s words:

“I felt extremely proud representing MCS at the Credit Awards to collect our awards for Law Firm of the Year. This award whole heartedly demonstrates the hard work and dedication of every staff member at MCS. Plus the time and effort put into showcasing what we do well in the award submissions. It was a great night had by all and especially fun to celebrate with all the MCS and Cabot staff who attended.”

Cabot Financial were also finalists in the Best Company to Work For- Non-Creditor.

We also had the honour of presenting the award for best Debt Advice Provider of the Year Award.

We were delighted to present that to this year’s winners StepChange Debt Charity. StepChange are a charity that for over 25 years, has supported millions of consumers to take back control of their finances and a charity that we at Cabot, have had the pleasure of working with to help support our consumers. Working together is all part of creating a healthy credit system and that supports our global company mission in a very real and tangible way.
